On Wednesday, February 3rd, at 4:00 p.m., former – and possibly future – Republican U.S. Presidential candidate Governor Mike Huckabee will appear at a special Knesset event that is open to the public and hosted by World Likud Chairman and Deputy Speaker of the Knesset Danny Danon.

These days, several World Likud Interns are summing up their term at World Likud, and are heading back to their homes: Rachel Brender from New Jersey USA, Zef Alejandro Feferbaum from Bogota, Columbia and Aron Snyder from Colorado USA.

The interns arrived for a few months, during which they have become an integral part of the World Likud offices in Israel, and contributed to WL work abroad and helped strengthen the ties with the Jewish people around the world. We want to thank each and every one of them, personally, and wish them all the best in their future pursuits.

We are looking forward to meet the new interns who will arrive in early March.

The "peace process" between Israel and the Palestinian Authority looks set to be relaunched. Make no mistake; such talks will be an exercise in futility. Over 200 people participated in an international convention on "connecting the people of Israel around the world to Judea & Samaria, in face of the government's actions" last week in Gilad Farm (Havat Gilad). Among the speakers were World Likud CEO Rafael Cohen, MK Michael Ben Ari and MK Ayub Kara, and head of the Samaria regional council Gershon Masika. The participants were hosted by the residents of the farm in a giant heated tent especially constructed for the occasion.

Prof. Moshe Arens, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and three-times Defence Minister of Israel, Former Ambassador to the USA lectured at an evening arranged by Likud-Herut UK & Tzavta UK-Spiro Ark' Israeli cultural wing, on the topic of War on Terror and Goldstone Report.
Arick Gerber, communications officer of Likud UK: "The Goldstone UN report is utter fantasy and stems from a hatred towards Israel. The UN has decided to ignore the real threat of terror rendering it void of reality. We are delighted that Prof. Arens has chosen us as a medium to communicate his views on the UN report and War on Terror."

World Likud held a cornerstone-laying ceremony for a new neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem, named Nof Tzion, near the neighborhood of Jabel Mukabar. Attending the ceremony were Assemblyman Dov Hikind of New York, World Likud Chairman MK Danny Danon, World Likud CEO Rafael Cohen, and other activists.
